La Cueva de Nerja successfully hosts the I Trail and the II Trail Kids

Nerja, April 9, 2022.-

This morning the I Trail Cueva de Nerja and II Trail Kids were held, organized by the City Council, through the Department of Sports, together with the Nerja Athletics Club, where more than 350 athletes have traveled the mountains, in the surroundings of the cavity, in different modalities. The general race with 12.1 km and a positive slope of +700m, and tests for the little ones, with distances and slopes according to their age.

The athletes Álvaro Gómez Guitart and Jamie Carabini, both from the Trops-Cueva de Nerja, have been winners in the absolute female and male category, respectively. In female, Michaela Kaufhold, has been second and Laura Pineda, third. In male, Antonio J. Aguilar, has been second and Iván Tejero, third.

Councilwoman Nieves Atencia has been in charge of delivering the trophies. Atencia has congratulated, on behalf of the Municipal Corporation, the winners as well as all the participants, the Nerja Athletics Club, and all those who have collaborated making it a success in organization and participation.
