Hiking route to: Los Pinarillos recreational area

The recreational area known as El Pinarillo is located near the old forest house of El Pinarillo. Hence the origin of its name. This place belongs to the Natural Park of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama . It is a key point for many hiking trails. For this reason, among hikers it is quite a popular place.

In this recreational area you can enjoy a permanent shade thanks to the pine forest and poplars that compose it. El Pinarillo is located 3 kilometers away from La Cueva de Nerja . From the Balcón de Europa it is 8 kilometers away. From the Nerja Bus Station it is 7 kilometers away. The directions to follow by road are simple. On the N-340 take the exit towards Calle Carretera a la Cueva. Take the detour to the left. From this point, travel 3 kilometers along the dirt path until you reach the parking area .

Access by cars is closed in high season (June to September). However, after the summer season the access opens again. Although it is always possible to access it on foot or by bicycle.
