Hiking route to: Frigiliana from Nerja

The itinerary to follow on this route will take us from the Cliffs of Maro to the white town of Frigiliana. We will ascend through the pine forests that surround La Cueva de Nerja until we reach the path of the channels of the Chíllar and Higuerón rivers. To then go to the town of Frigiliana.

We are facing a really complete itinerary. We will enjoy the nature of the Sierra de Almijara , while we will contemplate the views towards the Mediterranean Sea .

The distance to be covered is approximately 15 kilometers . The estimated completion time is 5 hours. This linear route runs along compacted, stony and rocky lanes. Therefore, this route presents a moderate level of difficulty .

The particularities of this route are due to the characteristics of its route. We are facing a hiking route that is both aquatic and traditional. The itinerary is divided into mountain, river and urban sections.

The route that we detail below can be combined with the routes to the Cahorros del Río Chíllar and especially towards the Cahorros del Río Higuerón . The latter located under the municipal limits of Frigiliana. In the event that you prefer to combine this route with any of the aforementioned, we recommend that you undertake the tour during the summer months. If not, the route is recommended during any time of the year.
