If you are passionate about the Verano Azul series, here we propose a tour to see the place where the largest of the filming took place: Nerja . We can divide the itinerary into two different days. Our proposal would be the following:
Day 1: Walking the streets of Verano Azul
The starting point of the tour would be the Parque Verano Azul . Outdoor space dedicated to this television phenomenon. Here you will see a replica of the mythical boat in which one of the protagonists of the series, Chanquete, resided. Popularly known as La Dorada. Touring the park you will see various plates in which the characters of the series are illustrated. The plates are made up of mosaics that represent the face of the character and his name. Without a doubt, a walk through the Verano Azul Park will activate the vivid memory that you keep from the series.
The second stop on the journey would be the Paseo del Balcón de Europa. Under this splendid viewpoint is the statue of Chanquete. Admiring the sea from the Calahonda Beach promenade. We recommend that you visit the rest of the adjoining beaches to enrich the route (Playa El Salón, La Caletilla and Calahonda). All of them very present during the filming.
The third stop consists of touring the town of Nerja . Streets such as Hernando de Carabeo, Parra and San Juan still maintain the essence that characterized them in the 80s. The moment in which the filming of Verano Azul took place.
The fourth stop could not be other than the beach promenade of Burriana Beach . Here you will see a sculpture in honor of the director of Verano Azul. The brilliant filmmaker Antonio Mercero . If we continue to the end of the walk we will see the sign for Chiringuito Ayo. One of the symbols of Verano Azul. At this point you can rest while trying the famous paella from the picnic area.
It should be noted that the four mentioned stops can be made perfectly during one morning. The commented points are close to each other.
The proposal for the afternoon would consist of visiting the Cueva de Nerja . Known in the series as the Cueva del Gato Verde. While for the night we recommend you go to the Bar el Molino (next to Calle Pintada). Known in the series as La Tasca de Frasco.
Day 2: Knowing the nature of Maro
This day can be much more relaxing than the previous one. The first stop that we propose is to visit the well-known Cala Chica located in the district of Nerja (Maro). Among the locals this is the popular name of the beach. This is also how it is presented in the series. Although its original name is Caleta de Maro .
The second stop is to visit the town of Maro. From the viewpoint of the Plaza Iglesia you will be able to contemplate one of the best panoramic views of the Cliffs of Maro. This image will make you relive numerous shots from the series.
It is indisputable that nature was also one of the indispensable protagonists of the scenography of Verano Azul. Therefore, there is no better way to know the series than this.
