The Second Hand Market or Car Boot Sale in Nerja is known as the Sunday flea market. The grounds of the market, where Nerja celebrates its traditional market every Tuesday, receives a total of 120 open-air sales stalls also every Sunday mornings (except holidays). This market has differences compared to the Tuesday market. Although both have the same morning hours and the same location, the Sunday trail has another function and characteristics. This function is based on the sale of second-hand items in order to encourage recycling and reduce the consumption of new products. The sale of handicraft products is also very present to support artists who are committed to making a living from their works. In this market you can find everything you need, except food products (present only in the market on Tuesdays).
The market is organized with the collaboration of an NGO called Club de los Leones and the Nerja City Council. Thanks to this organization we can enjoy a very special market in Nerja. You will be able to admire a multitude of antiques and truly peculiar items. Also the way of buying and selling is different from the Tuesday market. In this case, in the market it is very common not to set the price of the item to give rise to haggling or even bartering.
The Sunday market is also located two kilometres away from the Balcony of Europe , while the Nerja Bus Station is one and a half kilometres away. Therefore, it is possible to go from the centre of Nerja comfortably on foot. Although if you prefer to avoid the summer heat you can travel by bus. The price of the urban bus that will take you to the surroundings of the market is one euro each way.
The trail schedule on Sundays is also in the morning. From 8:00 am to 14:00 pm . It should be noted that entry to the site is completely free . Without a doubt, this market called the Nerja Sunday Second Hand Market (Car Boot Sale) will not disappoint you.
