The calendar of processions established during Holy Week in Nerja is generally the following:
- Palm Sunday : Characteristic procession for the use of palms and olive trees. During it, the parishioners tour the urban center from La Ermita . The tour continues along Calle Angustias, Calle Pintada, Calle Puerta del Mar and Paseo Balcón de Europa to end at the Church of El Salvador.
- Holy Wednesday : Procofradía de Nuestra Padre Jesús Cautivo and María Santísima de los Desamparados are the protagonists of the procession. The procession starts from the Church of El Salvador. To continue towards Calle Puerta del Mar, Calle Pintada, Calle Angustias, Plaza de la Ermita, Calle Granada, Plaza Cavana, Paseo del Balcón de Europa until arriving again at the Church of El Salvador.
- Holy Thursday: The protagonists of Holy Thursday are the brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, in the company of Cirineo, and María Santísima de la Esperanza. The starting point of this tour is the Church of El Salvador. Cross the Paseo Balcón de Europa to continue along Calle Puerta del Mar, Calle Pintada, Plaza Cantarero, Calle Méndez Núñez, Calle Bronce, Calle La Cruz, Calle Ánimas and Calle Granada. To return to Plaza Cavana and go through Calle Carmen and Paseo Balcón de Europa to the El Salvador Church.
- Good Friday: Jesus Nazareno Brotherhood processions the Holy Burial and the Holy Mary of Sorrows. The tour starts from the Church of El Salvador to go to the Paseo del Balcón de Europa, Puerta del Mar Street, Pintada Street, Cantarero Square, Méndez Núñez Street. Bronce Street, La Cruz Street, Ánimas Street and Granada Street. To meet again in Plaza Cavana to cross Calle Carmen and Paseo del Balcón de Europa to end the procession inside the Church of El Salvador.
- Holy Saturday: This day is popularly known as "Saturday of Glory". During the night of Saturday the Easter vigil night takes place from 23:00 hours inside the Church of El Salvador. In this case the route of the procession is modified. Starting from the Balcón de Europa, it continues along Calle Puerta del Mar, Calle Pintada, Calle Arropiero, Calle Huertos, Calle Frigiliana, Calle Carretas, Calle Pintada and Calle Angustias. To arrive at the Plaza de la Ermita and continue along Calle Granada and Calle Carmen. Until arriving at the Paseo Balcón de Europa where the procession ends at the Church of El Salvador.
It is worth mentioning that in the district of Nerja ( Maro ), only a procession in honor of the Christ of the Cross takes place on the Via Crucis during Good Friday.
