The mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, and the delegate councilor for Housing, Nieves Atencia, visited today the works of the promotion of 11 VPO protected housing rentals for young people that are being built on Zurbarán street, and which They are in their final stretch, and are scheduled to finish in December, after the extension of the initial deadline due to complications in the excavation phase and delays in the supply of materials.
These homes, built by the Bilba company, have an investment of 1,550,269 euros, co-financed by the Nerja City Council, which contributes 1,232,139 euros, and the Government of Spain, through the Junta de Andalucía, which contributes 218,130 euros.
The 11 homes are distributed in a building with a ground floor, basement, and first floor above ground. They have a living room, kitchen, bathroom and 2 or 3 bedrooms. In addition, a basement has been built that will have 14 parking spaces and 11 storage rooms.
José Alberto Armijo has highlighted that "these works are another example of the commitment of this Municipal Government to housing policies and attention to the needs and demands of the young people of Nerja and Maro."
