The mayor asks the president of the Commonwealth for greater involvement with Nerja

The president of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol Axarquía, Jorge Martín, made an official visit to the Nerja City Council this morning and held a working meeting with the mayor, José Alberto Armijo.

At this meeting, various topics of interest for the Axarquía and Nerja region were discussed. José Alberto Armijo has stated that, with the new government of the Commonwealth, relations with this supra-municipal body must take a 180 degree turn in relation to Nerja.

The mayor pointed out that the contribution made by Nerja does not justify the services it has been receiving from the Commonwealth, which is why he has asked the president for greater involvement with the Nerja municipality.
