Previously they were received by the mayor and the Councilor for Citizen Participation. José Alberto Armijo gave them copies of the Spanish Constitution and a commemorative plaque and highlighted the importance of ?making visible the commitment of youth to the Spanish Constitution.?
After the reading of the Manifesto and in the basement of the Town Hall, the Municipal Music Band offered a concert and at the end of it, the four young people proceeded to raise the flags from the balcony of the Town Hall to the sounds of the anthems of Andalusia and Spain.
José Alberto Armijo highlighted that, with the event held today, it was ?the finishing touch? to those that have been celebrated since last December 1 organized by the City Council in tribute to the Spanish Constitution. In his speech, he highlighted that commemorating the 1978 Constitution was ?celebrating the progress of Spain? and added that the Magna Carta has forged ?social cohesion based on solidarity and equality.? He added that ?we face new challenges that need appropriate responses since the new generations born in constitutional Spain have their own aspirations and concerns.?
