The City Council congratulates agents of the Local Police and Civil Guard for saving the life of a person

The plenary session of the Nerja City Council unanimously approved a motion by the mayor, José Alberto Armijo; the Councilor for Security and Transportation, Francisco Arce; and the spokesperson for the Popular Municipal Group, Angela Díaz, for which two agents from the Local Police of Nerja, Manuel Cordero and Olga Cervera, and two from the Civil Guard, are congratulated for their participation in an action that occurred in the town and who managed to save the life of a young woman.

The events took place at dawn in the Balcón de Europa and the agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard managed to save the life of a young woman who was about to fall from the popular Nerjeño viewpoint. One of the agents, Manuel Cordero, also had a truly heroic performance since he managed to hold the young woman when she fell into the void, which is why in the approved motion it is also agreed to request the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Simplification Administrative of the Junta de Andalucía the Order of Merit of the Local Police of Andalusia for said agent.
