The Christmas lighting of the Balcón de Europa promenade is turned on

This afternoon the Christmas lighting of the Balcony of Europe and the spectacular tree, about 30 meters high, were switched on.

The deputy mayor, Ana María Muñoz, and the councilor for Popular Traditions, Elena Gálvez, have been in charge of lighting the tree and the rest of the lighting that decorates the Balcón de Europa, together with members of the municipal corporation. A large audience attended the event and the musical note was provided by the Pastoral de Frigiliana who performed various popular Christmas carols.

The Christmas tree has become a great attraction for neighbors and tourists who did not hesitate to immortalize the moment with their mobile phones.

Both Ana María Muñoz and Elena Gálvez took advantage of the event to wish the residents of Nerja and Maro, as well as the numerous visitors who are in Nerja during these long weekends, a Merry Christmas.

Along with the large Christmas tree, eight trees have been installed in the Balcony of Europe as ?almond trees? on both sides of the promenade and lamp-shaped lighting that decorates the central part of it. Progressively the lighting will be extended to other areas of Nerja and Maro.
