The Board has granted the Nerja City Council a subsidy of 1,649,258 euros for Training and Employment Programs for 60 unemployed people, 30 young people under 30 years of age and 30 over 45 years of age, who will have one-year employment contracts. . The programs for those under 30 years of age are beach and pool lifeguards and leisure and free time facilitators, and those over 45 years of age, which are administrative and service assistants. The mayor, José Alberto Armijo, together with the Councilor for Human Resources, Ángela Díaz, has offered a press conference to highlight that this subsidy represents ?a clear commitment of the Andalusian Government to Nerja in regards to training and the job". He has also valued very positively ?the involvement of the Government of Juanma Moreno with Nerja?, at the same time that he has congratulated the councilor Angela Díaz and the Local Development agent, Rosario Villasclaras, for the work done to ensure that these programs come to Nerja. For her part, Angela Díaz has encouraged all unemployed people in Nerja and Maro who meet the requirements to come to the Town Hall or the Balcón de Europa building where the employment office is located, above the Albi cafeteria, so that they can obtain information to access these training programs.
