Nerja School Absenteeism Technical Team established

Last Friday, the School Absenteeism Technical Team (ETAE) in the town of Nerja was established. A joint proposal from the educational services and the Department of Education to promote actions regarding the prevention, control and monitoring of school absenteeism, as reported by the delegate councilor for Education, Ana María Muñoz.

The functions of this ETAE, made up of the Coordinator of the Educational Guidance Team (EOE) of Nerja, members of the management teams of the local educational centers, representatives of the Municipal Social Services, representatives of the Local Police and representative of the City Council of Nerja, will be to monitor the cases of absenteeism that occur in each educational center and carry out, if appropriate, a Joint Action Plan, as well as send reports of unresolved cases since the intervention of the centers. to the different services and analyze the records of absentee or out-of-school students in the locality and make the relevant decisions in this regard.

Finally, it was also agreed to promote the creation of the Municipal Truancy Commission and to be able to submit a proposal for a Municipal Truancy Plan for approval in the coming months.
