Nerja celebrates International Dance Day

The Nerja City Council will celebrate International Dance Day next Friday, April 28, with the intention of honoring this artistic discipline that is carried out in our municipality through the Municipal School of Music and Dance and the Fernando Hurtado Dance Company. , resident in our town since 2006.

The program organized by the Department of Culture begins at 12 noon, on the Balcón de Europa, with a performance by the senior group from the Municipal School of Music and Dance. Then, starting at 1:15 p.m., the schoolchildren of the municipality will enjoy a show at the Villa de Nerja Cultural Center offered by the students of the Municipal School and the company of Fernando Hurtado.

In the afternoon, starting at 6:00 p.m. and also at the Cultural Center, there will be an open rehearsal by the resident company, and attendees will be able to ask questions to the director and other members of the company.

The Councilor for Culture, Gema Laguna, has launched an invitation to Nerjeños and visitors to participate and enjoy this program of activities on the occasion of Nerja's International Dance Day.
