The Historical Heritage Advisory Group of Nerja has held a working meeting chaired by the mayor, José Alberto Armijo, in which various issues were addressed, such as the Archaeological Charter, whose work is currently in the process of being awarded.
Other topics were also discussed at the meeting, as indicated by the delegate councilor for Culture, Ana María Muñoz, such as the updating of the Inventory of Cultural and Archaeological Heritage of the General Urban Planning Plan of Nerja and the request to include the Cueva del Gallinero, in the Río de la Miel area, as an Asset of Cultural Interest. The councilor has also indicated that efforts are being made to restore the Roman road.
At the meeting, the coordinator of the Historical Heritage Advisory Group, Francisco Capilla, announced that he was leaving his position for personal reasons, although he will continue to be part of said group. His position will be occupied from now on by the director of the Nerja Museum, Juan Bautista Salado.
