Maro is preparing for another year to celebrate, on the 31st of this month, the Chestnut and Sweet Potato Festival, Marowen 2023, with a series of activities organized by the Nerja City Council and the Maro Festival Board and that on this occasion The AA VV of Maro also participates.
Throughout the afternoon-night activities will take place with musical performances, parades, gymnastics and many more surprises, according to the president of the Maro Fetejos Board, Estíbaliz Zorrilla. He has also pointed out that you can taste traditional sweet potatoes and roasted chestnuts.
For her part, the municipal mayor of Maro, Nuchi Moreno, has indicated that it will be a ?terribly fun? day and has recalled that there will be a bus service from Nerja to Maro from five in the afternoon until two in the morning. . He has also indicated that there will be food stalls and a craft market.
One of the most important attractions of Maroween is the passage of horrors, which this year is renewed with new characters, scenery and effects. In addition, students from the Virgen de las Maravillas public school participated in the decoration of the façade.
For its part, the AAVV of Maro has organized a children's crafts workshop on October 28, and an event called Paranormal Experience: Encounter with the Unexplainable, on November 1. Both activities will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Maro Municipal Multiple Use Center.
