Local Police vehicles are equipped with defibrillators

The Nerja Local Police already has defibrillators in their vehicles that will be available in places where there are large crowds of people during these Christmas dates and at upcoming events. The entire staff of the Local Police has taken the course of the Provincial School of Fire Fighting and Civil Protection of the Provincial Council of Malaga that trains agents to use defibrillators. Some police officers had already taken the course previously, but have updated their knowledge with what was recently taught.

The Local Police vehicles that have defibrillators are two at the moment, and they are duly identified. The intention is that in the future all vehicles will have one.

The Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco Arce, has stated that these defibrillators ?will allow quick and efficient action in any emergency and will serve to save lives, although I hope they never have to be used.?
