Informational meeting on the water situation in Maro

Today, an information meeting on the water situation in the town was held in the Maro Multipurpose Hall, convened by the municipal mayor, Nuchi Moreno, which was also attended by the delegate councilor for Health of the Nerja City Council, Javier Rodríguez.

The residents of Maro have raised various issues related to the supply of drinking water to Maro and the analyzes that have been carried out and which resulted in the water being unfit for consumption.

The Health Councilor stated that, ?from minute zero? the instructions of the Health delegation by the Aguas de Narixa company and in coordination with the City Council's Infrastructure delegation have been followed ?strictly and rigorously.? He also added that "health instructions have been followed at all times."

Nuchi Moreno has highlighted that the City Council is working on infrastructure works, declared an emergency, so that Maro has drinking water as soon as possible. In any case, he has indicated that, given that the Councilor for Infrastructure has not been able to attend due to illness, another meeting will be called as soon as José Alberto Tomé recovers, in order for him to report, first-hand, on the status of the works in the that the City Council has invested 600,000 euros.
