Director Tosca Musk begins filming her new film in Nerja
The North American director and producer Tosca Musk, sister of Elon Musk, has begun filming her new film in Nerja titled ?Wallbanger?, based on the novel of the same name by the writer Alice Clayton, a novel that in Spain has been titled ?The Seducer?. The choice of Nerja is no coincidence, and the filmmaker fell in love with the town during her visit last summer and that is why she wanted to film in some of its most spectacular corners, such as the Balcón de Europa, the descent to the El Salón beach and Calahonda beach, among others. The action takes place in San Francisco and Atlanta, but the main couple takes a romantic getaway to Nerja.
The mayor, José Alberto Armijo, accompanied by the president of the Provincial Council, Francisco Salado, visited the filming set in the Balcón de Europa yesterday and thanked Tosca Musk for choosing Nerja for the filming of his film, at the same time He encouraged her to continue visiting the town in the future.
For her part, Tosca Musk thanked the City Council for its collaboration and said that Nerja ?is the best location in Europe? to film.
The film, which is already being promoted on social networks, will be released in 2024 and will be broadcast worldwide through the Passionflix streaming platform, which specializes in romantic productions, and of which Tosca Musk is executive producer. The actors who give life to the main characters of the story are Kelli Berglund and Amadeus Serfini, who play Caroline and Simon ?the protagonists of this exciting love story,? according to the digital edition of Variety, an American publication dedicated to cinema.
The title of the film, ?Wallbanger,? refers to the bangs that Simon's bed makes on the wall of his neighbor, Caroline, when they make love, as depicted in the novel.
For several weeks the production company, Madiapro, has been in contact with the Nerja City Council to finalize details of this filming, which has brought together almost 70 professionals from the film industry in Nerja. As usual, the Nerjeño City Council has provided all kinds of facilities, also making municipal facilities available to the production company at no cost.
The production company has processed filming requests through the Axarquía Film Commission of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol Axarquía.
