Awarded the writing of the archaeological map of Nerja
The Local Government Board has today adopted the agreement to award the contract for the technical assistance service for the drafting of the comprehensive archaeological charter of Nerja and updating the catalog of the archaeological and ethnological heritage of the municipality to the company Arqueología Vizarra SL, in the amount of 45,859 euros, according to the motion presented by the mayor, José Alberto Armijo, and the delegate councilor for Culture, Ana María Muñoz. This is the offer that has obtained the highest score of the five that have been presented.
The archaeological map is a catalog of the archaeological sites and monuments of the municipality and allows establishing the types of intervention and protection strategies to be carried out.
The preparation of this archaeological letter was one of the proposals of the Local Historical Heritage Advisory Group, and its coordinator and current member, the doctor in Art History Francisco Capilla. The mayor, José Alberto Armijo, has indicated that this is an important step when it comes to preserving the marriage of Nerja since the municipality will be provided "with effective mechanisms in terms of archaeological protection."
