Maro turned upside down again with Maroween's celebration. Residents and visitors enjoyed a terrifyingly fun night, dressing up and decorating the streets and facades with pumpkins, skeletons and other motifs of this popular festival that has combined the tradition of chestnuts and sweet potatoes with Halloween for years.
The passage of horrors next to the Plaza de la Iglesia was the main attraction, in addition to the parade of The Crumps, the children's show of Rib and Ampola, the Theater Workshop the Senses of the elderly, the performance of the Gema Zumba Group and Jotxan and the music of the group Electroduendes, Carmen Soto and Dj Toulalan.
It also featured a costume and façade contest, and its corresponding award ceremony at the hands of the Councilor for Popular Traditions, Elena Gálvez, along with members of the Municipal Corporation and the Maro Festivities Board, who thanked everyone present your attendance and participation.
The municipal mayor of Maro, Encarnación Moreno, and the Councilor for Popular Traditions, Elena Gálvez, have highlighted the great work carried out again by the Maro Festivities Board in the organization, as well as the work of the Local Police and Civil Protection that ensured for event security.
