The Río de la Miel is part of the Mediterranean basin of Andalusia. It has a length of 7 and a half kilometers. It runs through the east of the province of Malaga to end at Las Alberquillas Beach in the town of Nerja . Next to the area of its mouth you will find the ruins of the Torre Río de la Miel (located on the Molino de Papel Beach ). You will also be able to contemplate the mines of the Molino de Papel belonging to the old paper factory that operated from 1799 to the beginning of the 20th century. Upstream you can see the remains of the Martin Mill.

The source of the Río de la Miel is located in the upper part of the Espartal slope. Territory belonging to the Sierra de Almijara . Specifically at about 1500 meters of altitude. From here it collects the waters from the springs of this mountain range. It should be noted that the course of this river is one of the most regular in the area.
