The Three Wise Men spread enthusiasm through the streets of Nerja

Their majesties the Three Wise Men visited Nerja in the afternoon-night today, spreading enthusiasm to the girls and boys in a parade that toured the streets of the center to Balcón de Europa, where the adoration of the Child Jesus took place in the living nativity scene installed next to to the church of El Salvador.

The mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, and the councilor for Popular Traditions, Elena Gálvez, received Gaspar, Melchor and Baltasar at the City Hall, as well as the guiding star, represented by the Spanish beach volleyball champion Angela Lobato. Everyone received a plaque of gratitude as did the painter Antonio Montiel, guest of honor of the Three Wise Men Association of Nerja.

The mayor gave their majesties the magic key that will open the doors of the homes of Nerja and Mareño so that Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar can distribute the toys and gifts tonight.

José Alberto Armijo thanked all the people for the work that has made the celebration of this parade possible, especially the Association of the Encarnita Kronox Three Kings.

The Three Wise Men said goodbye from the balcony of the Town Hall, after a few words from Melchior addressed to the boys and girls. A shower of confetti and fireworks followed.

Tomorrow, Saturday, starting at twelve noon, their majesties will visit Maro. They will leave from the Home and Social Center, traveling through the town center to the Plaza de la Iglesia where they will greet the boys and girls who will receive their gifts from the Three Wise Men themselves.
